A gastronomical team building activity in a stunning location. An upmarket paella cooking activity, working in teams and led by our master chef - making this one of the most sociable and enjoyable of all culinary activities. Minimum 40 people.

Where?

Barcelona:
We offer this experience in a beautiful traditional Masia (Catalan country house), just 25 minutes from Barcelona, in a Catalan wine-producing region. This is a wonderfully rural spot, surrounded by fresh air and vineyards, and just a stone's throw from the sea.

What Can We Expect?

As you may know, Paella is a rice dish that celebrates the joy of communal dining and is Spain's proudest culinary achievement... and there are as many variations of paella as there are cooks (or villages) in Spain. We will teach participants to cook an all-star seafood version of the dish.

Paella was originally farm labourers' food, cooked by the workers over a wood fire for their lunchtime meal.  It was made with rice, plus whatever was to hand around the rice fields and countryside: tomatoes, onions and snails, with a few beans added for flavour and texture.

In our Paella Making Competition, our multilingual, companionable and experienced chefs will help you to master all there is to know about making the perfect paella. They will give a live demonstration on the making of the dish, before helping to divide your group into teams of 10-12 people. Teams will then weave their own culinary magic on their bespoke paella, while being guided by one of our chefs.

Upon completion, our head chef will be judging the competition entries on flavour, presentation and 'knowledgeable flair'. The dish which most delights will be declared the winner.

As well as a fun competition for all involved, there is also emphasis on this activity being a very sociable occasion - something which the Spanish are also masters at!

Group sizes

We can happily accommodate group sizes from 40 to 400 people for this activity.
